Awesome company, I've been using their services for a few years for CCTV and electrical gear. They're one of the rare electrical suppliers that actually has good CCTV equipment at fair prices. Delivery is always fast and dependable, I definitely suggest them.

I've shopped with alertelectrical a bunch of times before, but I think something's off now. It seems like the company might've been taken over or the team swapped out. They sent me an outdated model of the texecom alarm system, then jacked up the price on their site. They told me I had to cough up more cash for the newer version, which I had already ordered before the price hike. The staff member I spoke to was totally indifferent and claimed the website hadn’t changed. So, this is definitely the last time I’m dealing with them; they clearly don’t appreciate loyal customers.

I got free shipping on my order, and it arrived the next day (thanks to DHL), which is impressive since most places take 3-5 days for free delivery. I purchased a full alarm kit, and my installer pointed out that one of the PIR sensors was defective.

The support team was amazing. They sent a replacement through DPD at no cost, and they took back the faulty unit.

The only thing I’d tweak is the additional fee for next-day delivery. Nowadays, especially during the pandemic, many places are providing express shipping for free. It nearly pushed me to look for alternatives, but I’m really glad I stuck with them.

I ordered an ERA alarm, but the delivery company messed up! I reached out to Alert Electricals, and they shot me an email right away. The next day, I got a follow-up call explaining everything and how they’d fix the issue. The alarm arrived just when they said it would. It’s super easy to set up and fits our needs perfectly.

I placed my order online on 24.07.20, and the shower fan showed up the very next day, 25.07.20. Gotta say, I did pay for faster shipping, but I didn’t think it would be this speedy. I had waited a whole 5 weeks with another company that kept telling me the item was on its way... ended up canceling that order and got fantastic service from Alert.

I ordered a Yale module 2 that was marked as in stock on their site, promising delivery in 3-5 days. A week passed, and I still hadn’t received any dispatch confirmation, so I shot them an email. No response came, so I decided to call two days later. The woman on the line was nice and mentioned she had my email and was checking into it. Later that same day, I received an email saying they didn’t actually have any in stock because Yale was out too, and they estimated it would take about 3 weeks to get one. I went over to Yale's website and managed to order directly from them. It ended up being cheaper, and I’m set to get it tomorrow—just 2 days after my order. It makes me wonder, if I hadn’t followed up, how long would I have waited for them to reach out? Seems like once I placed the order, they should’ve known they were out and could’ve let me know with a new delivery timeline.

I can't say much about the product itself, but seriously, don't waste your time on next day delivery. They’ll gladly take your money for it, but once it’s handed off to DHL, they just wash their hands of the whole thing, leaving you at the mercy of DHL.

I bought an air conditioning unit from Alert Electrical, and there were some hold-ups with my order that weren't really their fault (2019 model waiting to come from Italy). Still, they took responsibility, kept me updated, and sorted it out. I was really impressed with how they handled things and will definitely be going back to them down the line.

Since I'm pretty close to their Derby location, I found it super easy to place an order for pickup a few days later, but I could've also chosen home delivery for a very reasonable fee - or even free if I spent over £100.

It's definitely worth signing up for their regular email updates, not just for the latest product news, but also for special deals from the manager. I managed to snag a small extractor fan at nearly half of their usual (already great) price.
